Weltklasse Zürich is the most prestigious athletics meeting in the world. Every year, the world’s best athletes compete in 16 Diamond League disciplines in the Letzigrund stadium. Since 2000, we have staged the opening and closing ceremonies, which provide goosebump moments every year and, in addition to the sporting highlights, form the prelude to the evening and the highlight of the athletics event.
Grand finale
The Opening Ceremony opens the event and gets the mood going, while the Closing Ceremony sends visitors off into the evening with a 10-minute show after the top sporting performances. Pure emotion!
When we develop a new show concept every year, our aim is to ensure that the idea and implementation remain authentic at all times and that the sport is reflected in every show production.
Together with Habegger, we are responsible for the technology and direction. We are also responsible for the winners’ presentation and the Diamonds anthem. The crowning finale each year is the international music act and the accompanying show with fireworks.
